Prague Loreto was founded in 1626 as a Catholic pilgrimage destination after the Battle of White Mountain. Its central Santa Casa is surrounded by chapels and enclosed by the later Baroque cloister and façade, whose dense ornament turns a devotional complex into one of Hradčany’s defining works of art and architecture.
